Dietitian - Special Interest in Paediatrics

Working together to ensure happy, healthy kids

The importance of infant and child nutrition

Nutrition in infancy and childhood forms a very important foundation for health, development and even
IQ later in life. Providing your child with a healthy balanced diet early on helps teach positive eating
habits and build the correct relationships with food. Most illnesses have an impact on nutritional
requirements and dietary intake. A paediatric dietitian has the knowledge and skills to adapt and
modify your childs nutritional intake to ensure that they are receiving the appropriate amounts of
nutrition to compensate for this and still encourage optimal growth.

It is with great excitement that after 8 years in the UK specialising in Paediatric and Neonatal Nutrition
that Claire and her husband have relocated back home to the North Coast of KZN in South Africa,
where she works alongside the paediatricians and other healthcare professionals of the beautiful
and thriving Dolphin Coast.
